Residential zones love the basics. You know, education, crime protection, fire prevention, and recreation, oh and cant forget health. So basically, a lot of parks, decent schools, police stations, hospitals, and fire departments.

Industrial zones depends on what your trying to attract, dirty industry will take about whatever it can get. If your trying to attract High Tech Inudstrial then you need to put some parks and plazas in, and get rid of the pollution from the dirty industry.

Commercial- Just about the same stuff as residential with the exception of hospitals and education. Commercial buildings like police and fire protection, and plazas.

Hope I helped!

Hello mysticbadger,

tigerplayer91 is mostly correct.

All RCI zones require power - higher density zones require water - and some CAM buildings requrie nearby park(s) and fire protection.

Especially schools, and to a lesser extent, health facilities are more effective when covering residential zones.

Residential Zones get more benefit from parks, while commercial zones get more benefit from plazas.

Most dirty-industrial-developers (in theory - being somewaht shady to start with) hate police protection.

Commercial Services like to be on a well-beaten-path between Residential zones and jobs (work).

Commercial Offices and Industrial tend to be your major job (work) providers; with commercial services, most civic buildings and higher wealth residential buildings being minor employers.

Please enjoy the game,

My appologies to you mightygoose, it would appear we were both composing our replies at the same time - and you managed to post yours (after I started mine but) before I completed my reply.
