Apologies for lack of update recently; this itself will be brief! Its that time of year...end of unit exams sadly!

Jill Jacobs: Yes, it seems many fellow Simtropians are enjoying Bangor..it was my first city to be built in the region, so I thought I should do it the honor it deserves by showing it first on 'ere! The Bus Tour was a joy to do, rest assured, more like that will make an appearance! Thanks for your comments! Hope your railroad doesn't come into any difficulties!

edmonton_stinks: Thanks for that, I aim to please as they say!

xpotusx: All the housing you see here is either by Gascooker, RP2005 or Andreas Roth...hope this helps!

Callbat Brittishness ay! Thanks for that!

edcase2k4-thugangel1983: Buildings and layout take time to perfect...like a wine, city building skills get better with age...or through excessive use! To be honest, I am influenced by what I see round-about my part of the world (thats Liverpool/Merseyside to those who are guessing!). If your struggling to get the desired look you want; just take a walk round your neighbourhood or jump on a bus somewhere! There is one layout in a upcomming update, not this one, that I have lifted directly from the Hillside Estate in Huyton. Thanks for your more than generous comments! The bus by the way if your after it comes with Ill Tonkso's Unrealeased Bat Set which is on the Stex.

Sky Guy: It does a little yes...what a coincidence ay!

Jacquilina Thanks for your kind comments and on-going support!

Lucky7: I thought the "Notable Buildings" would be a great way of introducing you all to Bangor and the region...It certainly seems to have been popular! Hope to see you around more! Thanks for your kind comments!

Jayo Consider it done...I was looking for it before but to no avail. However, I now have it running.

6Underground I'll PM you about that!

Thanks all for your comments; this update is a little on the short side but will hopefully be to your likening!

All places have their Council housing..and Bangor is no exception...

To follow..location map and a look at the Bangor Reporter!

    All the best everyone!

That's a bit of an uglier update. Every good CJ needs those, too, and you did quite well! Stockbridge is pretty awful (meant as a compliment).

Edmonton_Stinks: You haven't seen the real Stockbridge! But as with everywhere, Bangor isn't all chocolate-box scenery...its a working city. I don't think people were ready for the previous update to be honest!

Callbat: And why not indeed? Thanks for commenting!

The Bangor Reporter isn't a paper I normally get...but today's edition caught my eye...

A double whammy for you all here: No sooner had I picked up the Bangor Advertiser...I was on the way to Cliviger. The weather was awful, but my spirits weren't dampened...

    Ooh lovely!

Excellent journal, has the same Myerscough-air about it.

Loving the train network and bus trips.

    Very informative, realistic and British!

    Keep 'em coming!

edmonton_stinks: Thanks for that; it involved alot of presicion "print screen-ing" and pausing! i am glad you like the scenery too! It was a good mixture between urban and rural...we will get more urban though...as time goes on!

Anarchy0029: Don't worry about missing out...your here now! Thanks for commenting!

Owenluby: Owen! my old Myerscough-ite! Great to see you here! Thanks for remembering the old place! Just incase you were wondering what happened to that...me computer died sadly, so Myerscough went with it. This will be much bigger than Myerscough, so if you liked that, you'll like this...or at least I hope you will!

Twenty20: Thanks for that; you will see your fave view again, but from a different angle in this update...

Thanks all for commenting; I hope you find the next update somewhat interesting!

First off, we will start with a Cliviger map; this my first attempt at one of these...

    clivmaptown.jpg

This should hopefully assist with the following...

    clivblue3.jpg

    clivblue4.jpg

    clivblue5.jpg

    clivblue1.jpg

    clivblue6.jpg

I think by now some of you will be wondering "wheres the Welsh???" Well, the next update will comprise of a road trip from Cliviger to Colwyn. If it all goes to plan, it may be a long update so keep you eyes peeled!

s_olah: Thanks for that! It was my first attempt at a streetmap...I must admit that it doesn't look too bad considering I didn't use Photoshop or Inkscape ect. Are you not able to re-load the game into your new platform??

edmonton_stinks: Thanks for your ongoing support! Its been very much appreciated! I think you may have noticed the palms...I am  puzzled. The mod is loaded and the streets are redrawn. But I still get em'. Might have to go on the t'internet and find a good "all inclusive" mod!

    penguin007: Why thank-you penguin!

This CJ has been missing something...something which I think has hindered the progress of this journey through Gwyrdd Dirio. We need some region views! So in a change to the pre-publicized update...I have created some views over the region. Obviously, the region is still in progress so the views you see now will alter. I haven't built on all tiles yet!

    Leander Straights

I have included some names previously mentioned on this one. Lathom for example is where we caught the bus from that time whilst Colwyn is where you can catch a ferry to from Bangor. If you hadn't realized, Colwyn and Tenby are adjacent to eachother.

I am hoping that this region overview gives you all some bearing with regards to region size and where places are in relation to each-other.

Those are some great region views there. Looks to be some challenging terrain to build on there. Planning any rural areas of course a big part of the U.K

    An update is commeth!

There are over 20 images to upload, so what I will do is upload the journey from Cliviger to Colwyn in two installments. The first will be the drive up the A561 to the M51, the second will be the motorway side of the trip. By doing this I should hopefully not be seen to be overdoing it! I have done the useral and created direction signs as seen in the bus trip...this is because I feel they put everything into perspective and also because I enjoy doing em'...........well....keeps me off the streets!

Replies will be carried out on the update proper; this is just a headnote to for-warn those with slow internet connections and puzzled looks when the trip abruptly ends on the sliproad of the M51!

A note to admins...if there are no replies between this and my forthcoming update, I will post. Apologies if this flouts one of ST's forum rules.

    See you all soon!

Penguin007: It is very challenging! I think I went a little overboard on that front....You could say that some of my cities are Caracus with a UK twist considering the topography of the land. The Slope Mod has enjoyed trying to get to grips with all the hills to say the least!

edmonton_stinks: Just a little bit green isn't it! However...the Urban Sprawl of Hale is starting to impact on surrounding areas. I think had I zoned agricultural plots, the region shot wouldn't look as good as it does.

roboo1: I think that on the "front view" where you select which tile you want to upload, there is the option to switch the clouds off. Either that or you go into the "options" panel.

    Thanks all for your comments!

Brace yourselves...the travel sweets are loaded and the tank is full!

For this update (as explained previously) we will be taking a drive from Cliviger to Colwyn. The first leg will take us as far as the M51 with the second leg continuing onward. The above map is a little out of scale but should give you some idea as to what is going on!

    Mmm...travel sweets...

I suppose the British road signs are a little strange for me, and I'm not entirely sure what you mean by Zone 3, but it's a great driving update! The signs remind me vaguely of my trip to Ireland about four years ago.

edmonton_stinks: The Zones idea was thought up by Bangor Borough Council, who, developed the Merfa Parkway for employment purposes. The idea of developing it in "Zones" was one which seems to have worked quite well, even if it is a little confusing at times!

Considering I left us parked up on the entrance slip of the M51, I thought it might be a good idea if we moved on...Bangor is now gridlocked!

Another great driving update! It looks amazing! Very green, and the roads and signs are quite well done.
