NAM 04.2008 Bug - What do you think about this?

Only after installing the latest version of NAM I get this bug: Rails, Ele. Rails,  Monorails all act as so sort of disconnection between roads/streets/avenues/highways. Ive taken off NAM and the bug stopped. I ran Cleanitol before installing latest NAM version. Also with this NAM add-on I am noticing a HUGE drop in bus usage. I didn't test this with out the NAM (my test cities weren't all that developed to determine an accurate hypothesis).

Idea, hypothesis? Is this a repeat thread, I didn't find it anywhere else. Help?

firstly your description is too vague and you need to show us some pictures. i have a feeling it will be to slope and overpass proximity to stations, but i cant confirm without a picture.

to post pictures and such the articles are in the OMNIBUS

oh and welcome to simtropolis, i hope you enjoyed lurking.....

    I have had success with the link. I shall look into that.

    Bear with my ghetto-map

    Y = Rail road

    A= Railroad - Road crossing (crossing arms I believe some call them)

    X = Road/Street/Ave/Highway

    RZ= Residential zoning

                              Y

    RZRZRZRZRZY

    XXXXXXXXXXXXAXXXXXXXXXX

    RZRZRZRZRZY

                              Y

    Where the rail crosses the road for some reason the computer does not grasp a connection between the two road segments; however the road is drawn as connected.

    This is the same for monorail, elev. rail, GLR, and heavy rail.

    There is no change in elevation. It is not a time issue. I have tested without NAM-04-08 and the problem disappears. The problem remains the same for industry, and commercial. Railroads, Monorails, Elev. Rails are only used to get across the tracks, and not used to get from one station to another.

    I'll go look at that non-working link :

    there is also another bug I found, you can build the raised road and stuff underwater! I use it since its kind of hard to build a tunnel underwater

    I had the exact same problem as Industrialite does. A railroad crossing acts to cut all traffic, and nothing gets over it. Traffic data shows zero traffic on bridges going over railroads, etc. The thing is, I had the European version of the game, installed in English, which means all my traffic was left-handed, a fact I had never even consciously noticed before. Aaaand, naturally, I did not install the left-handed bit of the NAM. Having now re-installed with the left-handed stuff included, everything works wonderfully. That's my mystery solved.
