Question about graphics options

I have some family in town and can't access my PC because it's in one of the guest rooms.  So I am using my Dell Inspiron 1150 Notebook.  I realize this isn't a gaming laptop, but so far so good.  However, I was wondering if I should change any of the graphics options to ensure smooth gameplay.  Right now the settings are as follows:

Resolution 1024x768

16 bit color quality.

Just about everything else is set to medium except for texture which is set to high.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Wish I could use the desktop but you can see my dilemma.

Well,

Just as I had suspected, the laptop overheated and shut down.  Guess I will just have to go on hiatus.  This laptop never has reacted very well to games.  Oh well.

Sorry, not sure what you're asking. Laptops and games, particularly CPU/video card intensive games, don't often mix well unless the laptop is geeked out real good. Just try dropping the settings down until you can achieve some stability w/ the game. Make sure you turn off antivirus and other non-essential programs running resident in the background.
