system requirments

Hi 

i have sim city 4 rush hour and it runs a bit slow when the city get bigger

reading the recomended system requirements it seems to me that it should runs fine but i don't understand why it doesn't.

i have intel pentium 4         3.0 GHz 

1 GB ram

80 GB HDD which 40 are free

nVidia Geforce 5500 fx

direct x 9.0

can you tell me what could be wrong

Your system is very similar to mine, and, yes, the game does lag as cities grow. Large cities in particular will task many 'moderate' systems to the limits - does not mean that anything is wrong - it's just the nature of the game. I imagine that newer, higher-end systems may be better, but I've learned to exercise a little patience with mine . Something you might check is to turn off any programs that are running in the background that aren't necessary as any resources left available for the game will help some.

I see possible slow downs between your video card and your ram. You may also try to defrag your HD.
