i found that building some bus stops can bring more Sims to the city, but it seems this method has reached its limitation. The population hang around 60,000 and refuse to go up.i have no more room in this city 'cause there is much water in this area,so What else can i do to make more people?

Did you zone in high density? Are there enough jobs? Do you have a lot of parks?

Jobs are a big issue -- even now my region doesn't have enough jobs and the demand for those are always high while residential is always in the negatives lol.

Also, try building other cities around too, 'region play' helps a lot because lots of sims decide to commute outside of the city to find work.

Finally,i break the limitation of population by building some park and others.teh population reach 100,000,but the Rs(of RCI) are all below the line.some pepl begin to lose job.so here i will ask one question:if i develop some jobs in the city next door, can it help to solve the unemployment  problem in this city?

It isn't a guarantee that developing jobs in a neighboring city will help the unemployment problem in your primary city. But it will likely help. Eventually, your primary city will run out of room and your sims will need to travel to other cities for work. So, region play is your best bet to continue residential growth in your primary city.

You have to break the cap some how. Maybe go to Simcity4.com and go to tips. It is somewhere around there.

You can also raise land on the water so you have more room to expand your city, but that will be expensive.

Start adding subway, high density zoning on residential and commercial.

Remember, region play! You expand the city throughout the region instead of squeezing all into one city tile.

Jobs, especially I-HT and CO$$$ for R$$. They are the main power of the city.

Avoid high crime and pollution. Move your factories out of town.

Last, do not build the maxis airport. Download the RH Airport Pack on the STEX and build the Airport Tram. They are small, and have the same function as the maxis ones.

    Hello warrat,

It sounds like you are running into demand cap issues. Building parks raises these caps some; up to 3-connections-per-transit-type to each neighber will also significantly raise demand caps.

Maybe search the threads for other ways to raise demand caps?

Search the STEX / Modds and Downloads section for demand cap mods?

    Please enjoy the game,

Hmmmm. Yes, Do region play. I started my biggest city on a small city tile and that was the biggest mistake ever. It forced me to use region play as I never expected it to grow that large. Now it takes up at least 8 small tiles and about 4 medium tiles and I haven't even started on the ghettos, the harbour, or even finished the suburbs. The airport is very large with 2 runways for the time being. My cities that I am building use loads of stuff from the park menu. So Demand always perks up here are some things you could do:

    List

    ___

    1. Download tons of park stuff. Preferably from SC4Devotion

    2. Use Region Play and Build Like Crazy

    3. Use a Radical Demand Mod: It's most recommended by all Cjers (Including Me)

    4. Build Slow and Take Your Time.

    5. Do some space management.

6 Every city spreads out before spreading up. That's a known fact. There's only one city that didn't spread out and that is a government city in Arizona.

    7. Manage your water greatly. Use tips and trick the system by building in rows that go

And etc. Have fun building your city.
