First time poster... I think... 41.gif  I've lurked around a lot though... anyways I've always loved your work Glenni and I'm glad you're in SYM Productions... 44.gif  You're the quality-boost we need to jump start our mix, and you can also give some tips to beginners through intermediate level!  2.gif

Awww, these look so nice! I particularly like the yellowish/white colour scheme. And the green one. You really managed to capture the look of those wooden houses!

But... are you sure you are the real GLENNI? 42.gif This stuff looks so cozy and nice, so utterly unblocky and non-brutalist... 3.gif

Well, now all it takes is asking around for a nice roof texture (I bet some of those BATters here are hiding the nicest shingle textures under their beds) and applying gascooker's gradient fairy powder to the textures, then we will have some beautiful Scandinavian homes. 19.gif

    Wrong approach IMHO.

You try something -> it turns out to be difficult -> you leave things as they are.

If I were you, I'd be busy nagging (and begging) the sh*t out of BATters who have shown some BATs with excellent roof textures about where they found them, how they made them, if I could have some. Until they say Oh god, it's that annoying GLENNI guy again - quick, give him some textures, or he won't leave. 3.gif Well, you get the idea...

ST is a huge resource - use it! Don't stop at 90%, go for the best. You da man! 2.gif

Glenni, as T Wrecks says, don't leave things as they are, because you can do better than that. You already have good models, now you need to work with textures. You can ask me advise or Kwakelaar for instance, we can both try to help you to understand how you can get your Norwegian homes shine

    Hi Glenni

As T-w wrote. Don't leave the roof textures like that. That would be a shame.
Maybe you should ask the ours finnish friend Mika/Mickebear.
In this post he just posted a seriel of rooftextures. I don't think he mind sharing. I just got a package with some of them from him.

EDIT: Talking about the sun... Seen he has been around.

i know he gave me a pack of textures.but that would look even worse they were to old stlye and they were mediternian that would look evewn worse on a norwegian house......

EDIT: now i have added another version.and i have changed all the red roof textures ot the one thats on the new image of the yellow house now
i have also changed some of the houses roof textures to black.

This is a terrecotta roof that you maybe could try out for your Norwegian houses. Don't know if it is something that you can use.
Quite nice models simpel and clean, I like that. I can not really make out the texture for the walls is it just a solid color?
