Metropol, the first CJ

Ok, here is my first CJ.
It's called metropol, but i don't show you the names of the citys yet..
I use some mods and you can see some downloaded things of some pics. I don't have any great pics yet so those will come at following updates

Ok, here is random pics what i've found..

One of my forested (and rarely lived city) where is watertower of Pori (City in western Finland)

I like the terraforming and use of the ponds. Also the cannel through the comercial looks real nice. The over all population and layout looks good, I would be interested of seeing pictures of all the cities layouts if you could.

Update 2

Ok, here is little update (unfortunately not so good what i expected)

i have more pics of that commercial city what yitograft were interested about.
Population is now ~400 000 and i have 2 cities more. Another is only industrial and another is only residential and population is 74 000 (it has very fast growing).

Now i'm showing my both commercial cities and both has high tech industry too..

Heh, only commercial pic of biggest commercial city.. And it is oldest part of this city and one of the oldest part of the whole region.


Now i start to think 3rd update.. and positive comments are more welcome than negative

This is just a small update but i gonna put this befote the next, so here is start of my new project: new terraforming, devolepent, style and zoning.

I like your re sculpting of the region... I think that is relalistic with real life. A city gets put together and along some point they relize that sculpting and reforming needs to be done. I think to some degree that it is done before, but also I know that there is buldozing and reshaping afterwards. Take Las Vegas, they blow up and re develope buildings and cassinos as if it was nothing. I love your concrete walls on the sculpting, and yes I still like the canal alot as has been said. I am somewhat disapointed though that there isn't much of a begening to this city. It just apeared with alot of population. I would like to see some new cities developing for better or worse. I am enjoying your CJ though and look forward to more. This is the end of my weekend, so I won't be back till sunday or monday so hope to find alot of jucy updates.

Yes, nice job with the re-terraforming. Sometimes it takes a little daring to just demolish everything and rebuild, but if done right, the results are often really satisfying. Good start overall.

Update 4

..And i just decided that I will continue playing with this region
So, region is nearly 500 000 inhabitants carrying midsized area.
I gonna change it a littlebit and one my failed work will burn away


It was sunny saturday morning in 17.10.26. Birds were singing, children played and some were taking sun in that part of the city. Suddently there were noise, like thunder and some people propably saw it too, a meteorshower!



A huge explosion and noise! Then there were quiet. No one knew what was happen. Some house was on fire and then again!


Aalmost every building were on fire.




Every block were burned down


Whole that ugly part of the city were burning


Only few buildings survived of that horrible catastrophy..


The firemen came TOO late (damn they are lazy)


As you can see in this pic that the whole part of the city were burned down


Tens of thousands of sims died in that catastrophy. So 17.10. will be national day in this region. And that's what you get when you play with matchsticks

Next update will come soon cause holiday is starting after few days

Yeah it was catastrophy and everybody cried that.. Catastrophys are cruelBut more happier updates will come ahead, keep in the good mood watching my journal

Cool, someone with enough guts to destroy Sims! It is a cornucopia of rearranged ones and zeros.

I like the way you have both zigzagy avenues and grid like roads and streets. The juxtaposition of the two is very pleasing.

I personaly like that you have a desaster, not that sims died. It is realalistic to have a disaster and gives a bursting city that edge to make it unique. You could add a memorial park over there for all the firefighters that DID make it to the fire and faught bravly even if lives were lost. Just my to CP.
