Some VISUAL ideas from Sixu

Instead of inflicting the dreaded: tl;dr syndrome and suffocate everyone with the already widespread ideas about the content that *can* be incorporated in CU, i thought i'd try something more visual. This IS NOT CU, it's just my own ideas.

After loading up CU, you can enter the "world editor", this determines the planet you're going to build on. You can import world designs from your hard drive, or select premade worlds. Or, you can start from scratch, by determining what features you want and what ones you don't. *This part was largely inspired by the method in Civ IV*, select if you want continents, or a world where land is rare. Then, determine the sea level (which has effects on weathers/disasters etc), global climate and planet size. In the "tools" menu, you apply "brushes" of "desert", "tundra", "ice", "grasslands" etc... from world view. In effect you "paint" the planet. You could also raise mountains, sink valleys, apply landmasses and draw rivers. Zoom in and Zoom out keys below tools. The white triangular points rotate the planet. After the planet has been "painted", you can then designate "tileset zones" to specific regions. Also, I've included the ability to import user-made tilesets for use in the "World Builder".

Generate! Now Play!

Just a loading screen...  4.gif

For the purposes of being somewhat more interesting, pretend, that this "world" has been played before. So we've just loaded the world, I've selected a nation on the small continent off the coast of Africa/Spain, called "Valicia". A region I've been playing. Here, I can determine the graphic settings suited to the region i'm playing. I can also import/export Valicia if i wanted to share it with someone, or import it after someone else used it (perhaps for multiplayer games). There's also some stats and requirements (tilesets) for the region.

So, let's load the region!!

Just like SC4, select an area to start building.  =D

Fantastic! But the pictures are too wide... if you could shrink them down to 800 wide that'd be great.

Suggestion: Shrink them down but leave links to the full size images so we can see 'em 4.gif
