ugggggh....why cant the leafs ever play 2 good games in a row. i think Paul Maurice is soon outta there, as much as its not his fault though. something needs to be done to shake the team up and send the message that nobody is safe. i think last night was a very important game to keep their confidence up after a marvellous win over the sens but unfortunatly it never happened. looks like its gonna be a long roller coaster season.

Actually I think JFJ will get the boot before Maurice some of the rumor mills have been speculating that Kubina,McCabe,Stajan,Raycroft will all be gone by February and the team will look decidedly different

hehe. Ottawa is in a mini slump better yet, Krusty is out with a groin injury. hopefully the sens will fall back down to earth now.

also. the leafs are playing dallas tonight. hopefully they can win this one. the game against the Bruins was a real disappointment being up 2 goals and whatnot. I expect Toskala to have a good bounce back game after the not so great third period he had. If Raycroft is in net.....expect a loss

They fired the head coach of the Washington Capitals on Thanksgiving, which seems rather rude.  (He's Canadian so maybe it doesn't seem quite as rude to him.)   He wasn't surprised and said he just couldn't get the players to do anything more.  The players blame themselves;  they think he's a good guy and they feel like they let him down.  The interim coach seems happy to have the job.

Well...Toronto blew it against Phoenix . Someone's bound to get fired if they lose the next game, whether it be the GM or the coach...it will happen. They keep showing this consistency every game, but nothing is done to make it better. And when people want action they throw money at it and everyone is happy...like I said, something will happen.

i think Maurice is gone verrrry soon. normally after games he is very calm, collective and appears not to care. after tonights game when they interviewed him, he was visably upset and he looked like he was trying to force himself to stay calm. he must know something is coming.

I find it amazing how Chicago, Columbus and St. Louis, all teams that usually are at the bottom of the standings, are actually doing quite well this year.

i noticed that too....i find it amazing what Philly is doing this year, they really turned it around with their new coach and key pick ups. As for Columbus, i always liked them and am pulling for them in the west. LeClair has about a million shutouts

As for the (sad music) leafs.....turns out they are in a huge mess. I came home today and went on leaf chat only to see rumors flying around about JFJ firing Mau and fergie denying the comments and blah blah blah. They really need to figure something out fast. Its getting to the point where "its early" and "we need to get used to our new teamates" are not valid excuses. I also hope that they are really interviewing Scotty Bowman...thats a real GM.

Habs completely dominate in 2nd

Leafs play better than Habs in 3rd... either they can't make up for what they lost in the 2nd or they tie it and it goes to OT/SO.
