THIS BAT LOOKS LIKE A GIFT PACKAGE

I downloaded those OWW2 boardwalk sets, and when I try to plop them down all I see is a gift package. Same goes for this parking lot I downloaded off of STEX awhile ago...

How do I get these to go away?

the gift packages are fillers when you don't have all the necessary files for an item to display properly. Many items you download have dependencies,or other files that you must also download for everything to work right.

although dependencies can be annoying, from a technical viewpoint they are usually the most efficient and improve performance/prevent bugs caused by having duplicate items. Lots can share the same props for instance, and those props are packaged seperately. Otherwise you would download 3 different lots each with 3 identical prop packs, which would slow down the game.

Ever herd of a thing called a dependency file? They're separate downloads that you need in order for some lot's to work properly. If you need a dependency for a download, the creator will list in the README file (or just in the description) and give you a link to where to download it (basically you're probably missing either a prop of model file). Another thing that can cause what we've nicknamed 'brown-boxes' is not installing something properly. Make sure you've got ALL the files in your plugins folder that you're supposed to.
