Hey all, maybe this problem is wel known but not to me, I'm using PEG'S watermods ages now and I  decided to switch to a normal water color mod

But the problem is that every other 'normal  ' water mod shows up these ugly color curves

take a look yourself at this pic

What graphics card do you have? I think this is an ATI problem (As I remember), I'm not sure but try putting the graphics options on 16bit...

If you missed one of the previous water mod files, they may be conflicting. But I would try the graphics card avenue first, this seems to be the problem, most likely. ATi graphics cards are notorious for artifacts in SC4. ( I have had two, one was horrible, producing more artifacts than the Smithsonian, and the one I have now is ok)

If it wasn't doing it with Peg's mod, why do you suspect the graphics card?

Take the water mods out of the plugins, and see if the default water has the same issue.

    Hi, Alkaola ...

You can find any drivers for Your NVIDIA, but I can't find good driver for my NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS (Now I have  Last Version from NVIDIA = Driver 6.14.11.6371 at 17.09.2007) ...

My mind - all Your problems - are problems with Your Video Card ....

Try install Your SC4 again and look ....

    Best regard ...

Problem is, that the game hates new hardware. That's why I have to use 16bit to get it to run at a reasonable speed. They never accounted for anything past 2003. Shame really, that could be your problem. You could try using one of cycledogg's water textures, they always look fantastic 4.gif
