looking for a program

i am looking for a program that views your buildings and lets you rename them for example: when you hover them before you build them they say small park when it is a camp ground or something. ps. i do not have rush hour. can anyone help me find a program like that?

i didnt find anything in the lot editor that let me rename the lot. i am trying to rename the lot as it appear in the game menu

for this you would have to use the reader tool by ilive (here)  I personally have no clue how to change the name of a lot/biulding in the menu... you'd have to do a search of a tutorial or something similar.  I'm not sure you can do it without the rush hour version though.

You have to have Rush Hour to successfully use the lot editor. Vanilla editions are not compatible with custom content.

If you have the money, picking up SC4 Deluxe Edition is the right way to go since you can use many of the programs you can't with the vanilla version, especially if you want to edit the names of your lots.  Here's a tutorial for doing so:  https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=140&threadid=76236&enterthread=y

Couldn't he just use the LEprop? its easier that the reader  if you just want to rename a building..
