Just today I went to play my cities, and after minimizing and maximizing the city, all my cities were gone. I checked the regions folder and trey all appeared as plain new city. Any idea on what I can do to get htem back?

I'm not sure what you mean by "minimizing and maximizing", but if it is gone from your folder, you probably can't get it back...

One step to try is type in a city name into your search tool and see where it leads. Something like this happend to me last winter where all the cities (in alphabetical order from l thru z) disappeared in my Berlin region. I found them in the download folder of simcity and had to manualy replace them in the region. I now do backups.

Please explain what you mean by minimizing and maximizing.  All your cities should be in the My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions\<region name> folders.

If they are not there, what did you do that would have removed them?

By minimizing and maximizing I mean using the Ctrl + alt + delete command or the windows desktop view key. [ I didnt close it, just... i really dont know how to explain it besides minimizing and maximizing.

But what did I do in that time? Simply talked to a friend on AIM.

    I checked My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions\

I will search my computer with the tool in a moment. Thanks for the responces.

Okay i've found the cities, which where in the plugins folder for some odd reason, but how do I get them back into my cities? Dragging and dropping them into the regions city folder does nothing, they just get redirected to

    SC4/Regions/plugins

Too bad the only city saved was the griddy one :/

I made my first complete anti-grid city [ all diaganol ] on a large city tile, and right when I get to populating it :'(

Open the relevant region, click on the city and use the import city button (lower left).  You have to navigate to your plugins folder.  How this happened is a really good question for which I, for one, have no answer.  I have done that without harm, and why it should do that I have no idea.  Are you running Vista or XP?
