play in a window

hello! I'm a new player of simcity 4 deluxe edition, and I have a question: can I play the game in a window, so I can run other programs as msn and skype? ...HOW can I do it? thank you, bye!

Yes you can play in a window. But its not reccommended unless you have a FAST PC with lots of memory.

Just right click SC4 on your desktop, go to the Target, and at the end of that path there, type in "-w" without the quotes. Then it should work. If it doesn't post back!

Like all command lines, this one is space delimited.  Remember to hit the space bar in front of -w.

If you change your mind, change the option to -f.

The game will remember your last selection and use it unless you override it.

If your game's in the default location, change the Target line to this...

"C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity4\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -w -r1024x768

You can manually change the directory and resolution if you like.
