Cant install SC4 into new PC

I have got a new PC.   But cannot install my SC4 /Rush Hour again.  I have tried switching off all firewalls, but still nothing.  It installs the second cd (base game) and then when it is 100% done, it just "hangs".   I am not too technically minded with PC technology, so I hope someone can help.

My new PC specs are:  

Processor:  AMD, MMX. 3DNow (2CPUs). ~3.0GHz
Memory:      2048MB RAM
Page file:    441MB used, 3498MB available.
Graphics :    GeForce 8800 GTS

One thing that will help is the AMD Dual Core Optimizer [link].

Make sure you have the nVida driver that has fix for Vista [i guess you have Vista].

i Don't know why you cant install the game I cant Really help you sorry !

did you check to make sure your disk isnt scratched, did you close programs like anit-virus, i installed sc4 + rush hour on a laptop with turion 64 x2 tl-56, 2048mb ram 1982mb useable, geforce go 6150, maybe it doesnt like your 8800.

From your post, I did not see any mention of installing SC4 Vanilla before Rush Hour.  Unless you have Deluxe, the install is in two parts, followed by updates:

1. Install SC4 (2 disks) no patches afterwards
2. Install Rush Hour (2 disks)
3. Update 1 for your area
4. Night lights patch if you want it.
