@LivingInThePast: problobly not. 2.gif

@ilikehotdogsalot: Most Companys are terrible when it comes to replacement support (though Microsoft seems to be good about replacements), and Apple sells replacement cables and earbuds rather costly, so they wont give free replacements. 7.gif

@ confused04: 2 questions actually, which size did you get and how does ST look on a iPodT(Touch)?

@ Palpatine001: About the iPhone, Why do you think so many nerds are switching networks with ethier hardware or software mods? 3.gif

@ zelgadis: I'll problobly do the same when something dies on my Video iPod(with the exception of the screen, I just don't want to try to fix that).

Now that I've commented to most of the comments in this thread 3.gif...I'll just comment on the iPods I saw a few days ago at CompUSA...

I like the new nano, but I kinda feel it lost the nanoishness of it from getting a bigger screen, though it's still suprsingly small and I still think it's cool.

I really like the iPod classic, since it's case wont scratch as baddly as the other iPods...and the interface is really nice and smooth, though the split thing kinda feels weird, but coverflow is really cool.

Saddly, they didn't have a iPhone or iPod touch on display...so I can't comment on them 8.gif

Since I bought my iPod Nano 2G (2 Gb) sometime in January of this year, I've said it was the best thing I could buy with my money =P, meh, now I regret not buying one with more space. Those new ipod Nano look fat and stupid, I simply hate them; and who the heck need 160 Gb of space? That's bigger than my computer hard drive! Seriously, *****?

The Ipod Touch looks good, ah yeah, they're just an iphone without the phone. I better stick with my current iPod.

To answer your question.... A) I got the 8 gb iPod touch. It was too expensive to buy the big one since I have a relatively small music library. B) Simtropolis looks largely the same. The only problem which is actually annoying is that the iPod touch currently does not support flash player or shockwave. So the banner doesn't display properly and I can't use chat. I imagine that someone will hack it soon. The iPod can play youtube clips so it might not be too problematic to get that working.

Last time I checked, Apple was independent from Microsoft.. 3.gif

confused: Is the touch awkward to use? I was thinking of getting one, myself.quote>

The touch isn't too awkward, especially if you turn the ipod to the side. Typing is somewhat cumbersome but otherwise it is idiot proof. You cant highlight, copy and paste, or do any right click to my knowledge. There will be hacks and apps in tge future so I'm not terrible concerned. You will be doing a lot of zooming for the internet but it does allowing for decent zooming that a convential computer will never allow without saving and editing. For being a wireless handheld device, limitations are expected but none are debilitating.

I'm now the proud owner of a 16gb iPod Touch 4.gif

I've been playing around with it for a few hours, and I'm very, very impressed with it so far. It might not be an iPhone, but the storage and price are a lot better. I'm absolutely in love with the interface, and the touch screen is very precise and works rather well.

My largest complaint was that mine, and in fact all iPod Touches don't display the color black correctly. It would look as if you were looking at an LCD monitor at an angle, and in fact the only way to correct it was to tilt your touch and look at it that way. However, there is a software update available from iTunes which corrects this problem, so no worries here.

I'm sort of disappointed that that there isn't an actual hardware volume control, as it can take about 10 seconds of clicking to get to the touch screen volume control, and you have to take the iPod out of your pocket to get to it. The iPhone has a nob on the side for this purpose, I'm wondering why this wasn't added to the touch as well.

You can't add things to the calender, which is sort of annoying, but it's not a feature I see myself using much anyway, so that didn't really bother me.

Don't get me wrong, I love my iPod Touch, and I think it was worth every penny of the $428 I payed for it, and I'd definitely recommend it. It's just so much nicer than being limited to a click wheel, and pictures and movies on a Touch are great!
