Ok it worked but I can't seem to edit the stats with this and in the readme it said

"To find out how to change your Building Name or add a descriptive field to your Menu, search for Ralphaelninja on the Simtrop Lotexchange for "WhoaLot"."

Sadly my searches have lead me nowhere 15.gif

There's only one way to create ploppable RCI lots, and that's by following SimGoober's tutorial Making a Functional Landmark Lot.

Mr Bisonm, if you're doing the 747 lots, then I'd too like one of the lots (just the Air Canada 767 (ACStatic)) as I am having a load of troubles with getting the jetway in the correct position (on the edge of the lot), but yeah, all I really need is the jetway on a lot like that (with the plane so I can place other planes on it as well) and I'd be fine.

Ok I now have a few problems when making my lot plopable.

1. In the tutorial it says to make a growable version so you can copy over the information to the landmark version and make that plopable. However my building is so huge it only fits on 10x10 or bigger. And thus I made my lot 12x12 for the landmark but the biggest R lot is 6x6. If i just make a generic R 6x6 lot can i copy over that info to the landmark?

Also it says I can put that info in manually. How would I determine what should be in these fields. This tutorial seems to be for Commercial Plopables and is a bit confusing on how to do Residential Plopables.

2. I do not know what the Hex code is for the "Occupancy Groups" property of R$$$. In the tutorial they listed it for only Cs$ .

"Now open it again, click on add, and type in the value "0x00013110". Click the first apply button , and you should see two values in the top and the bottom. Hit the bottom apply button, and this window closes and the changes take affect."

Maxis has used more than 150 different values for the OccupantGroup property. They define RCI types, building styles, the functioning of civic buildings and utilities, automata spawning, MySim attractors and all trackable buildings (that need to be counted for checking reward conditions).

They used to be listed in a recently deleted (archived) thread in the Modding - Research and Development section: Occupant Groups and their Functions. Currently I can only recommend to check in-game buildings for help with finding which OG's are used in which buildings.

The Occupant Groups for growable buildings are:

0x11010 = R§

0x11020 = R§§

0x11030 = R§§§

0x13110 = CS§

0x13120 = CS§§

0x13130 = CS§§§

0x13320 = CO§§

0x13330 = CO§§§

0x14100 = IR

0x14200 = ID

0x14300 = IM

0x14400 = IHT

Also the property Occupant Type is essential for the functioning of RCI buildings.

Thank you. I have been having trouble though. I think i messed up somewhere for the plopable part. I can make a RCI bigger though, which was useful. I will have to go it the plopable stuff again.

But i wanted to show you what my lot looked like. Atleast as a landmark lot at the moment.

Even with those numbers its not showing up. What's the Occupant Type suppose to be? Is it the same number as the OG?

This is very frustrating. 15.gif However I have gotten pretty far for only a few days.

These are the Occupant Types (they do get automatically assigned by the PIM when making a growable descriptor file):

0x1010 = R§

0x1020 = R§§

0x1030 = R§§§

0x3110 = CS§

0x3120 = CS§§

0x3130 = CS§§§

0x3320 = CO§§

0x3330 = CO§§§

0x4100 = IR

0x4200 = ID

0x4300 = IM

0x4400 = IHT

If your building is allowed to dilapidate, all lower wealth types will have to be included. E.g. an R§§§ building would include Occupant Types 0x1010, 0x1020 and 0x1030.

Hmm Its still not working. I will go over what i did.

1. Made 3D Building and rendered the BAT.

2. Went into the Plug-in Manager and made a Landmark version.

3. Went into Lot Editor and made a 12x12 Landmark Lot with my building BAT.

4. Picked a R$$$ lot copied it for my growable template.

5. Went into the Reader and made the lot 12x12.

6. Went into Plugin Manager and filled out the stuff for a R$$$.

6. Went back into Lot Editor and brought up the now 12x12 R$$$ and replaced the building with my new BAT R$$$ building (since now it could fit on the lot).

7. Went into the Reader and changed the Landmark to "_Plop"

8. Then deleted the properties in the tutorial they said not to have and copied over the ones i did need from my growable version (which is much too big to grow).

9. Went into Occupation Group and deleted the 2 other fields and changed the 1st to 0x11030.

10. Went to Occupant Types and filled in 0x1010, 0x1020 and 0x1030.

11. Added LotConfigPropertyLotObject and set it to 0xff.

12. LotConfigPropertyWealthTypes set to 0x01, 0x02, 0x03. Is this correct?

13. Skipped LotConfigPropertyDoConstruction since it said it was optional.

14. Tested in the game and nothing shows up except for my original LM file. I can tell the difference since one has trees and one does not.

In short I have 3 lots.

1. Resized R$$$ growable lot.

2. Landmark Lot

3. Plopable Lot (Which I have been editing)

I also have things back up multiple times. In a separatefolder from the plug-in folder

Also in the end if I want to just have the plopable version all i need is the BAT and the Lot file right?

First of all, a word of caution (I should have reacted earlier on this)...

You are making a ploppable residential building. Unfortunately that will never work properly in the game.

There's a bug in the game that stops sims from finding a job if they are living in a plopped building. If you plop this one as a residential you will most certainly get an abandoned building. The only plopped buildings that work fully are the commercial ones.

That's disapointing. :/ Oh well atleast I am learning what I need to make other lots.

Nope it did not work. Maybe I should just release it as a landmark especially if it can't be a R lot.

However now that I know how to make BATs and Lots I think will try some more lots I always wanted to make.

    hawkpride147, sorry for being a little late, but RL has been keeping me busy in the last weeks. I didn't forget you though and have worked on your demand to put some 767 Kumba props on some lots. Have a look at these ingame pictures and tell me if they are good enough for you or not. If you would like any changes, just say so.

    There are 5 lots all with different planes/props and textures (though keeping the same basetexture all the time) They are 5x5's except one which is 5x4.

    Now I was not able to make them appear in the airport menu, simply don't know how to, unless someone here could help me. (I only use the Reader, nothing else) Therefore I made them appear in the parkmenu, but without plopcost, maintenance cost and only little parkeffect.

    Props were difficult to place since all airport props are smaller than other props in the game, so I did not include any sims, many vehicules etc, which would have look like they were half as high as the planes themselves (it would have simply looked stupid). I also kept the props at a minimum. All props are either original Maxis props or the RMIP2 props/textures. So, you probably won't have to download any other prop or texturesets.

    The Occupant Group for Building: Airport is 0x1508. You should be able to find this by opening any existing in-game or custom airport building in Reader as well.

    If you add 0x1508, remove 0x1006 which is Building: Park

    Ok, let me see if I got this right. In the LE I simply change the 0x1006 in the occupant group to 0x1508? And that's it? It will now appear in the airport menu?

    Ok, let me see if I got this right. In the LE I simply change the 0x1006 in the occupant group to 0x1508? And that's it? It will now appear in the airport menu?

    Sorry BarbyW, you're right, I meant Reader also and somehow I wrote LE. (old age...lol) I know only props and tex's can be thrown around in the LE and no tweaking can be done there. Thanks for stating it out.

    Thanks Andreas, but I don't have the LeProp and I don't expect to download it and others neither. I am quite familiar with the Reader and do not feel like starting over again to understand another program. The Reader is actually quite easy enough.

    We have a Ministry of Garabage building and we have Water Control Board building. What I would like to see is a building to monitor Electricial engery used. You could creat any thing you want,I think game needs this type of building. Thank you.

    I probably would have used and preferred the LeProp, if it would have been presented before the Reader, but now I am used to hex codes and have no problems with them, even if you think it's easier. You know, as they say, don't try to teach an old mule new tricks....lol... not that I'm old though!! 2.gif

    High5flyier, I don't quite get it what you meant. If it is only a building (office) on a lot submerged with some electrical wires etc, I can do it, but if you need stats and other specific mods on the lot or a special query, then you're not in the right place. Let me know.

    Like I said before and I would like to get that straight please:

    I will do any LOT that anyone wants me to do, but no stats!!! Example: If you are a CJ'er and want a specific lot arrangement or something, but don't either have the talent nor the idea how to do one, I can do it for you, but don't ask me to play around with the intestines of the lot, the stats etc. I do not mod. It will be for eyecandy, pleasure or already existing stats only.

    Some have pm'ed me with an idea for city trash removal, since they didn't want to bother with ugly and not destroyable garbage zones and exporting problems etc. Peg has done some nice ones also, shipping the trash either by water or by train out of the city.

    I had this idea to make a very simple but attractive lot, that you can plop somewhere or anywhere in or near a ghetto, and at the same time, it will take care of a lot of garbage, almost like the Incinerator.

    I was going to upload it this weekend or at the latest on Monday, but now seeing that someone else (1dera3) had uploaded a nice looking lot for garbage disposal today, I will wait a couple of weeks before uploading mine, not to interfere with his creation.

    This is not a logical lot, it will remove garbage about 1000 more times than it looks like it could and in a way it looks not like it is capable of doing, but this is what I was asked to create. Something that can be seen in every city and thus clean it like no other. It's the Mayor's choice..........btw, it is a Nexis lot and it is done with 100% Maxis props and nothing else, no depends like always.

    Hi mrbisonm. I really like the garbage recycling whatever facility and look forward to its release. I was wondering about several of the lots you have posted and would love to get my hands on several of them so here goes.

    The first motel you posted, the chicken,horse,cattle and veggies farm ( in your second lot of pictures posted), the farms you posted in the third set of pictures ( especially the long low roofed blue building farms). 

    I was wondering if you were ever going to release them? I don't mind dependencies and have nearly all prop and texture packs known to SC4 and man! LOL!

    I have all of Nexis lots and they look fantastic ingame so whatever the reply I wish to thank you for your great contribution to the enjoyment of the game.

    I will upload the garbage facility as soon as I have figured out what's wrong with it ingame. I tried it and somehow it doesnt function properly, and I am not a pro with tweaking lots...... (maybe I will ask for help somewhere) 2.gif

    If you absolutely want some of these lots in the pictures above, just send me your e-mail by pm'ing me and I'll send them to you. I don't think I will upload them, since all Nexis lots do not have many or no dependencies all the time and these lots above do have some. Besides I will have to ask for permissions and find the links for the bldg's etc, not really any of my stuff to do. My BATs and lots can be used by whoever and whyever and for whatever, no permissions to be asked. If my BATs are on the net, they are yours to decide what to do with. I don't have that *EGO* problem that some BATters and LOTters seem to have.

    I started a whole new Lotservice and it will be shown right here in this thread. I will still take requests for lots and if you know any BATs on the Stex that need to be relotted, tell me so.
    The matter has been discussed here before and now I decided to go ahead with my idea and make new Nexis lots with the wonderful BATs that somehow were abandonned on poor lots. And there seem to be quite a few of them.

    To start off with , I took the liberty to take City Planner's last BAT and first remake the lot, the size and also the utility of. Now it is a growable, a R$$ and on a 1x2 lot. No dependencies except the .model file that you have to get from City Planner's upload.

    When I first saw this BAT plopped on a 2x2 very empty lot, I was discouraged to see such a beautiful but simple BAT being left aside like so many. I downloaded it and gave it a better lot right then like I usually with excellent BATs  that have poor lots, and when i saw it ingame standing very proud on a smaller and better lot I decided to make it for public access also, along with many other such BATs that could need a good refreshing. 

    So here it is...... a growable 1x2 R$$ lot with 25 R$ and 17 R$$ residents.....now available on the STEX.

    You need to download the original  .modelfile only from here . That is the only dependency you need.
