Night Light Issue

Okay I've had Sim City 4 for quite a while and I've tried to get the night light update at the Sim City website, but whenever I registered my game I never could get the activation email or whatever it is? Is their way I can get the night light update because I've never had ever since I bought the game 2 years ago.

Where do I find Update 1? I've been looking on internet but with no success.

Edit: Found them on SC OS so that was too easy.

I dont know, its Rush Hour expansion and latest patch from OS.

Look for the file version of simcity 4.exe, it can be found in this folder, C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps. I will be something like 1.1.640.0. If you can't get it by hovering the mouse over the file, then right click on it and choose properties.

Its said created in february.

edit: i discovered i only downloaded the patch, never install latest patch. this might solve the problem then...

edit2: not working anyway, now i have 1.1.638.0, i dont think there is newer versions

There is one to go.  The nightlight patch takes you to 1.1.640.  You can get it from the files in the sticky in general.

Sorry, cant find the file.

It seems its available at OS but I cant retreive my old account from there, I guess I had another mail back then so this looks impossible for me.

Yes.. working now.. I had to reinstall the game but now I need to have the cd in the dvd rom everytime i want to play.

With old patch I didnt have this I dont think?

That's the trouble with those g..d.... no-CD patches.  You can fix the CD in the drive pest by making a virtual CD of the play disk on your hard drive.  You have to do a full geometry copy using something like Virtual Disk 9.  This package is worth its price, and has saved me from shoving disks around, etc.

With VD9, the mounts survive even over a boot.  I suggest you use end of alphabet drive letters (W, X, Y)
