How do I stop fighting the power?

I had no choice.  I just happened to save right before the neighbor to my young city decided to cancel the power deal.  My expenses were only higher than my income for a very short time.  But none the less, I had to use the fightthepower cheat or risk everyone in my city leaving.

But that was 200 years ago and now I killed my neighbor and built an atomic power plant.  The graphs and the utility guy still alert me if my city is using more power than it can generate but nothing happens to the buildings.  I can't enjoy it like this.  I like the challenge.  I tried typing the cheat in again but no effect.  Does anyone know how to do it?

Hmm, I don't think it can be done. I use fightthepower in my cities very often, and I once tried to turn it off, but I had no luck. I rebuilt the city, actually (Thank god it was a small one!) 3.gif

even though you put the cheat in the game still acts like it has no power unless you have a power plant. That cheat just makes it so that building can be built with no power and removes the zots. If you notice in your ticker your utility guy is pissed because of no power. If you haven't already just place a power plant somewhere and run a grid through the city. It will act like you never put it in, however, if there is a blackout you can't tell unless you look at the map. I don't think it can be reversed, have you tried putting in fightthepower again that may turn it off, not sure though.

Most of these cheats are toggles.  Try typing it in again and see if it turns off.
