Too much plugins?

I have recently installed SC49.gifeluxe Edition in a WinXP recently formatted too.

My hardware:

Intel E6600 @ 3Ghz

2Gb RAM

ATI x1950xtx

HD 400GB

I have read the post called "Plugin mania" and I know that too much plugins it is no good but... with this hardware, It is normal that with 279 new buildings added in plugins folder, the game load so fast but however, ingame the camera move so slowly? I mean, there are something like a "universal limit number" of plugins for SC4, although I have that PC?

Thank you & greetings.

I have only been able to use hardware render with Vista, and ATI X1950. With XP I must use software render in the game options.

With Vista I get a little jittering when I scroll verticaly, horizontal scrolling goes smoothly.

So "Software render" is better than hardware render? Although with this hardware? omg

I have a X1950 Pro, with Vista and the latest drivers I can use hardware rendering. I have a X1900XT, with Windows XP, and I have to use software rendering, even with the latest driver. That holds true with the X850, and X800.

With hardware rendering, the game sends a program of commands to the graphics card to draw your screen.  This is usually faster as it unloads the central processor.

With software rendering, the game creates a frame buffer in memory for the screen, and sends the image directly to the screen, bypassing most of the functions of the grahics card.  To do this properly, it has to keep two images.  One it is sending to the screen and one it is updating.  This takes a lot of otherwise useful cycles away from the simulation.  If your machine is fast enough, it is unnoticeable.
