Well I've been making a few different regions for the past few years and I was wondering if I could combine 2 regions together without a large amount of hassle? The regions that I want to combine are the same size as the one below. Its just that the second one (not pictured) isn't even a 1/4 done yet. So, is there a way I can combine them to make one giant region?

You can add it to the right side by making the config file larger, with the right sized cities, and then import the cities from the other region.

Or, the same would go for the other region.

well when I tried to do that it messed up the region (maybe cause I was adding it on the left?) Your idea was the first thing that I had come up with myself. The region that I have pictured has taken me a long time to make and having to add everything by hand to a new region would just be a hassle that I would rather avoid.

If you add to the left, or the top, all terraforming, and development will be lost. I know that what I suggested is time consuming, but the only way I know to get'r done.

by the way, you have very nice development there...how about starting a City Journal for that region?

Well as much time as i have spent making this region I don't know if I can just abandon it. Its hand drawn with a pop of 2.8 mil. Is there any programs that would allow me to do this? The only other thing I can think of is to name all the empty cities and then like tungston said add them all back by hand and then make the other side of the region. A city journal? I started to one time but I just don't know how to start the story.

The cities will need to be incorporated, and copy them to a seperate folder, and use those files for importing. When you import them the original file is moved to the new region.

To make the config file, open both files in an image editor [or MS Paint], and copy and paste the second file to the resized first file.  Make sure it goes on the right side.

So let's be sure we are on the same wave length:

    1. Create a new region big enough to hold all the cities of both older regions.  Make sure you have enough of each size tile, in the right place.  No terraforming necessary.
    2. Copy the cities of both regions to a different folder away from the game.
    3. Import the cities so that the two regions are reformed adjacent to each other using the folder that contains the copied cities.
Now this is really not very hard, just time consuming.  Good luck.
