Demand Modds

Please forgiven my ignorance if this has been beaten to death, or if this is the wrong board, but...

I am wondering if there is a mod that can create an ordinance that can increase demand for certain groups, such as R$$$ or CO$, etc, and by a set amount, such as 2x, 1.5x, or 3x. The 10x modds are a little overkill for me. If these arn't availible, what would be required to make one?

also, I am not adverse to trying various properties that increase demand.

Now, are there any lots that I can plop that will increase demand thought out the city, or in just the area around that lot?

You cannot increase demand directly, but you can increase desirability.

Demand comes from the employment/unemployment situation. The more jobs you have available, the more demand for residents will you get, and the more unemployed residents you have, the more demand for commercials and industries will you get.

The basic demand is the same all across the region, but it is locally changed (even dramatically) by desirability factors.

Desirability factors include park effect, landmark effect, land value, mayor rating, education, health, fire protection, police coverage, crime, commute times, customers, noise, pollution and taxes.

Increasing/decreasing any or all of those will also change the desirability for different RCI types.

Parks raise the desirability for residential development and most landmarks raise the desirability for commercial development.
