I can't keep my silence - strange new wave on STEX

I see 4 garbage objects from SIM FREAK (dated 07.17.2007) now ...

And you can see other dead objects before ...

I think - this is hooliganism ...

My offer is - eliminate all objects, not only lock this ...

Is this real ?

Stop garbage !!!

Yes, we need to stop these troublesome users who have no intentions of being in the SC4 community except to cause hardship! They have already ruined the quality of many of the buildings and lots available on the STEX. It is unfair for users who put in hundreds of hours of work into their creations when spammers come by and try to put the lots into their own name. I think this, along with the sometimes hostile comments made on the STEX, is forcing many people out of the community because they feel disrespected.

My suggestion... limit upload access to the STEX to those who aim to do reasonable work for the community, and to possibly delete other poor-quality lots if necessary.

(If the message seems offensive, then sorry, as the offence is unintended. However, I think strong words and language is needed to express my worries on this troubling trend.)

EDIT: I think there has been no other thread regarding this issue, other than the one posted by the moderators about new comments rules on the STEX.

Silur, the appropriate response would have been for you to send a private message to the STEX moderators or an administrator. Posting your grievances with another member (or members) on the public forums does absolutely nothing to solve the problem.

Dirk's vision for his site is that the STEX be an open exchange. Unless he chooses otherwise, that is the way it will stay. Please respect this instead of continuing to dispute the issue. There are other sites that have private or selective exchanges if that is what you prefer.
