If you ever purchase a Prima Games eGuide and have problems,  don't bother using their forum for help.  You will only recieve a standard reply from the forum moderator.

Below is a question I posed and the response.

What are the system requirements for using a Prima Games eGuide? I have not been able to find this information anywhere. The only information provided by the "help" pages states a windows system is required. It does not state which operating systems specifically.

(ie: What operating systems?)

P.S. Please don't downplay your customer's intelligence. Anyone can navigate an eGuide folder structure and find the underlying PDF. Your so called executable is most-likely a watered down version of Adobe Reader.

I attempted to load the SimCity 4 Rush Hour eGuide on a machine running Windows Small Business Server 2003 SP2 with no success.  Their support pages state all you need is a windows based system.  Come to find out that isn't exactly true.  Their eguides will not work on the server versions of Windows.  Hence, the system requirements question.  IDIOTS.

Interesting.  Since it is a server, can you not spawn an XP workstation and make it available there.

I thought about that -- sort of. But, I figured the overhead costs to view the eguide using an emulator wasn't worth it. I'm running the server on a P3 730MHz machine with 512 MB of RAM.
