Is anyone here a part of the open beta for World in Conflict? Its really fun game, but its online only. You can still join it.

I signed up....  pre-ordered the game... downloaded the bata package... but still dont have the beta key....  grrr

I signed up at www.worldinconflict.com/bonus

which is the site they point you to when you researve the game instore. Seems there is a big understanding between Massive/Sierra and EBgames/gamestop. And its a bit upsetting that rather then correct the issue.. they are both blaiming each other and saying the the other needs to fix the problem....

So even though I I was promissed access to the beta...

from the box:

"pre-oder and receive:  *access to the beta event.  *Bonus multiplayer maps for the beta and the demo.   *Massgate account privileges- Secure your online name before the game release."

But says nothing about having to sign up first and hope that you get the beta key that makes that beta app work... where you then can put your pre-order code in to get the other stuff.

So even though I payed money, with the reasonable expectation that I would be playing the beta by now... 

There are a few folks around here that can tell you, I am not one to fly off the handle, or be troublesome... but this has me pretty...    well as the English would say... "A might bit miffed"

Oh, well you still have to sign up at one of those sites. It words it wierd but what it gives you is a pre-access code, which does everything that says but give you access to the beta event. The code you get from the site that you sign up at lets you get in the beta event. After you sign up, you enter the pre-access code in the game and it lets you play the other map and get your name for the game. Sorry if this is hard to read becasue it is late here.

Looks like a decent game. I tried the tutorial - very nice looking graphics, and it runs smoothly on my system.

I have not tried it via LAN or online as of yet, because I am terrible at online gaming, and prefer something I can turn away from for a few minutes without getting my butt blown up (in other words, single player).

I might have to give this one a strong look.
