Small City, High Density

my mayor rating is perfect, and i have a nice city made with mostly high wealth residents on a small city tile...is it possible that i could make apartments and skyscrapers grow? My population is at a stand still basically no matter what i do. How can i make it grow?

I have bypassed stage limits in new cities by connecting to large neighbor cities. If you have one of those, you probably could get residential highrises at least.

If you're region is big enough and has good stats (also city residential population must be over 26,000 which can be done on a small city tile) you will get high density buildings quite easily in a small city.

When I had the neighbor, I was able to get highrises from 0 population

Yeah after you establish one city, getting high rises and sky scrapers is easy as hell

I had a small tile city that had a population of 150,000 persons. And all you saw was apartments.

there are several other surrounding cities? none of them have skyscrapers yet though? is it necessary for them to have them so the smaller one can develop them too?
