Splinter Cell: Double agent

I have recently rented this game and love it! Except for the spots of impossibility.

Question 1: I am on the supertanker, and have killed everyone except the captain. Moss has said that he is on the bow of the ship. The problem is, I can't get to the bow. The farthest I can get is the helipad. How do I get to the bow of the tanker?

Question 2: How do I pick locks?

To lock pick, you point your left joystick in the direction of highest vibration and leave it there for a few seconds, once it stops vibrating, move it in any direction and that tumbler should be complete. Do the same with all of them and the door should unlock.

As to Question 1. I'm too busy trying to not kill everyone that I haven't gotten that far.

Once you go up the stairs outside on the tanker, there's 3 guys and a turret. 1 is downstairs, others are upstairs. Do what you wish. Then look around for 2 wall mines in a little corridor thing. Disarm them and keep going. You get to a door, open it. There ya go.
