I'm having a problem with certain programs that I added to my game. Is there any type of program that would test my add ons so that I would know which one would give me a problem when it comes to playing the game with them?

The only way to test your lots is by seeing how they build in the game. Well, that's the easiest way, at least.

SC4Tool is quite handy, as well as a few others, to check properties of most things you download. It's especially important, as I've found, for anything you might place in high abundance e.g. bus stops, parks, etc. You can tweak the values to your liking as well. As an example, I found many bus stops with bad values for jobs and power - i.e. a tiny rural-use bus stop consuming 61MWh of power and sucking in 100 jobs. For things that you'll only place one or two anyway, the numbers have to be way off to matter much. But for something like a bus stop ... which you might (I do) easily plop down 50 ~ 100 in a city... that's 5000 ~ 10000 jobs eaten up by bus stops... not to mention needing an entire power plant just to power all the bus stops. Every time I download something like that now, I am sure to check it in SC4Tool (and fix it if necessary) before I use it.
