Harling

Alta's not the only place to have its problems, the nearby village of Harling is right on the coast and faces the possibility of destruction and flooding. It is expected that the village will evacuate but there are no announcements yet.

It Begins

The storm has just hit Harling, damage is immense luckily only the lowlevel areas were damaged. The intensity of the storm can be proven by the beached ships.

police scan the area for survivors.

An old tanker, beached.

After seeing the devastating effects of the storm, portland workers take part in a protest by blocking the channel.

Sea traffic is held up.

Preperation

The Sectorian Meteorologist office has simulated where the worst effected areas will be in Alta due to the storm, they have designed red zones for all the dangerous areas to be during the storm. They have also warned the government about the dangers of a working port during a heavy storm, but its still unlikely that the government will listen.

Merrian island

The Merrian tunnel is one of the major motorways into Central Alta, it is predicted to get flooded.

The Anfi Bay resort is expected to get "washed away"

The smugglers caves are a very attractive tourist attraction, but the floods may provoke a cave in.

Alta Storm: Part 1

The effects of the storm on Alta are much worse than predicted, the Cindaco powerstation has been flooded resulting in the reactor exploding causing severe fires in the power station and also many other buildings.
