Problem with NAM

I have a problem. After I downloaded NAM my SimCity 4 Deluxe started to shut down in the middle of the game. It just close. Did anybody has similar problem? I'm losing my cities because i can't save the city because it closes. My game is closing after 5 minutes of playing usually when i use GLR puzzle parts and rail puzzle parts. Why's that?

It has happened to me in the past, and many people experience this too. What I do, is when I use the GLR pieces, I make sure I don't touch the pieces that are already on the ground. So this may mean zooming in the city, and make sure the cursor doesn't touch the GLR piece. Same thing for GRL stations. Make sure when you are putting in the station, that the cursor does not touch the station on the ground.

That's my only solution and it seems to work.

This is a known problem, well documented in the write up on puzzle pieces in the documentation that accompanies the NAM.  I suggest you both read that section again, carefully.

The work around for this is to save frequently when using the PPs.

sometimes my game closes for no reason even when im not using the puzzle pieces. It is really frustrating, and i got a new copy of the game and downloaded the patches of the simcity 4 website, and it still does it. Its is extremely annoying and i wish there was a mod or patch to fix the problem.

dude welcome to Sim City 4... there are numerous reasons why the game crashes, but the most prolific is when you hover a puzzle piece over a transit enabled lot. Your major recourse is to SAVE YOUR CITIES and SAVE YOUR CITIES OFTEN.... is tedious and boring but its the one true way to know for sure you haven't lost a months work..... Good luck

A tip concerning "hover crashes" as I like to call it. Laydown the track first and when finished you save. Start plopping the stations now but becarefull and save after every succesfull plop.

Same thing mine shuts off at random pionts even when i reach 100k people and forgetting to save but now i often save. Even before I used NAM or was a member here. and i've played simcity for a long time and it only happens to SC4.

Yup. Just a random event waiting to happen. I can get cities up to such of a point where it is fully poputated and everything is outstanding, then I lose it all. Just a pain. I makes SC4 so annoying and stressful. Maybe its a problem in the programing
