Need Help with Avatar

Hi, I'm not new to this forum - or forums in general for that matter - but I can't seem to get my avatar to load. I tried loading a 80x80 pixel avatar from my hard drive that's about 10 kb - well within the allowed limits. When I try to update, the program says that the avatar is too big - that it needs to be 80 x 80 or less. So, naturally, I tried an avatar that's 50 x 50 pixels just to test it, and it said the same thing! Seems like it doesn't want me to load up any avatar. Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution? Thanks!

i resized it in my program i have thats all and it worked,you did have the right size,but i had to do it in my one
