Default Maxis buildings control

Is there a mod on the site that allows me to control or eliminate any or all of the default Maxis buildings that show up in-game so that only custom content will show up?

ie. A "No Maxis Residential" mod that stops the game from popping up Maxis residential buildings so that I can stuff my plugins folder full of 19th century houses or something and have ONLY them show up.

On this same topic, what happens if you use that mod with an already developed city? Will it crash to the desktop?

No, it won't.

All existing Maxis buildings will remain, but no new ones will grow.

i got a question the other way around. i want maxis buildings, but since i've got costum contents, only the Stex will grow. it's nearly impossible to get the default ones to grow, although i have enough demand. (i like the Houston style commercial and don't wanna miss it)

could there be a coherence? or is it just accidentely?

I have a similar question. I downloaded the "No Maxis" mod, and it works to perfection. Unfortunately for me, when i implemented the No R$ mod, i got ZERO residential growth (in a new region). Apparently, with all of the mods/bats/lots I have installed, NONE of them were R$. does anyone have any good R$ bats/lots to download and use?

Son of Cordoba, you pays your money and you takes your choices.  If you don't want your plugin lots, move them to a folder outside the game.
