A Tentative Apology

Okay, well guys, over the past few years I have seen many many discussions over the nature of a new Sim City instalment.

I have pretty much seen everyside. People who fervently believe that Sim City 5 was going to be out in the next few months, that it was being worked on secretly by Maxis, that it wasn’t going to be out for a few years, and that it wasn’t going to be out. Period.

I must admit, I have always been on the It will not come out/Not for a long time

Every time a member came into chat and asked a question on Sim City 5, then my reply was always the same, that it would not be out until at least 2009, if that.

And, of course, my views have made a lot of people angry. Hell, I have had my fair share of arguments (mostly with gstommylee) about the release date of the game.

But, of course, I have stated that if I were to be wrong, then I would eat my hat, lick peoples boot’s, make a public apology, and any number of things.

So, being true to my word, here we go;

I, Aaron (otherwise known as Boggy1), hereby make an official public apology too all those members who I have stated, without doubt, that a Sim City 5 is a long way off.

Now, I do however call this a ‘tentative’ apology. The reason being is that many members are stating, without doubt, that Sim City Societies is not a true Sim City 5.

I’m personally am not sure what it is. Is a clock still a clock when you take it apart and lay it out on a table? Is a Sim City game still a game when you hand it over to a production company that isn’t Maxis.

I’m not going to be the judge of that, I’m not going to force my opinions on anyone, but I still am not sure.

Therefore, this is a tentative apology, but an apology nevertheless

Edit: Don't worry, Boggy. It personally doesn't seem like a big deal to me.  But, at least you are staying true to your word!

Yes I apoligise too. I'm also sorry I aldo thoght that it woundn't come out until 2012!
