Lots from STEX wont download

Hello,

I recently had to have a new hard drive installed on my computer. I lost all my SC files. I  am trying to download from the STEX and some files will unzip fine, while with other files, I get a message the the file is corrupted. When I try to download the same file on another computer, the file downloads fine.

I have tried turning off all antivirus, cookies are allowed.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Im not sure where to write this but I cannot download anymore due to an error of it saying the file is corrupted I don't know how this can be because yesterday I could but not today what do I do. Please help

Is this problem with everybody or is there something i need to download further or does simtropolis in someway need to resset its self I don't know Im fustrated because everything I do the error is corrupted it only downloads half of the file. I was downloading some 2006 files and four days I did nothing and came back to it and now I cannot even download a file from 2004.

I have had problems similer to this as well. I can't for the life of me get the search box to work. It gives me an error and sends me back to my previous page. I am also occasionally getting the corrupted file error as well. I hope this "hiccup" is fixed as soon as possible. It is beginning to frustrate me.

i just completed a download and a search.  Please, in these situations specify:

1. Operating System level, version, and update status
2. Browser and version
3. URL attempted to download or key used in failed search.

Look to your firewall, and make sure what you are doing is allowed.

I have also been experiencing the same problem.

I have attempted to download the latest NAM and it indicates 10mb file size at start of download but at approx 300kb it zips to 100% and closes. Winzip then reports the file as corrupted.

I have tried to d/l file numerous times over the past couple of days with the same result.

The same problem has been occuring for approx 50% of files I have attempted to d/l from Simtropolis.

I am using xp with the latest updates.

IE 7.

And I have turned off the firewall in XP.

I do have a slow dial-up connection. Averaging 3kb/s

suggest you try firefox.

I have just downloaded the firefox 2.0 and it states Invalid menu handle also an error it downloads half the time and this is with any download

After searching the forum for more info on this issue, it looks like many people are having this problem. The Moderators keep suggesting that people download FireFox of WinRaR, but I also tried to do this and it still does not work. The issue is obviously something with the STEX that they either they can't fix, or don't know how to fix. It's unfortunate, but hopefully someone will be able to fix the problem before more people leave ST.

I agree I have downloaded winrar alzip turbo zip wizard zip firefox this is not the problem its not the cookies or anybodys firewall this is obviouly a Stex and site issue that needs to be looked at The last server that was started is when this problem started this is the problem of simtropolis becaues me and a couple computer techs have discovered, so why isnt simtropolis looking at this issue I have been with this site for four years and 2 yrs ago we had this problem and i was using winzip and I had to change it by switching to Winrar which solved the problem due to the winzip at that time was'ent compatible but this time its a site issue.

Is there anyone who is looking at the server Stex because we had tried almost everything that could possibly be looked at.
