                  THE CITY OF OMARAMA

                                                                                                                                -EST 1980-

(PS:NOT A REAL CITY)

In the year 1980 State Highway 15 was built going through the Southern Alps in New Zealand. 3 years later a small suburb was developed to help support the small farming district. By 1985 the small town had begun to grow.

In the next 10 years the farming industry boomed and farmers began to develop quite close to the town. Fruit pickers for wine and other things began to move in to the town in hope of finding work, and work they found.

As the city grew, the farms became more desperate for work and more people started to flood into the town in hope of finding a better life in the country but what they found was a briliant community and a friendly neighbourhood.

"Happy New Year" yelled the citzens of Omarama as Y2k came around. As some weirdos that thought tht everything electronic would go haywire the rest of us sat back had a beer and partyed onto the year 2000!

The 2003 the city had gone from 0 to 208 to 2,949 people and still getting bigger and the people still came.

And now at last we reach today "HURRAY!44.gif"

The city has grown as you will see and the farms are booming more than ever!

Wind power is the key to this city, Cleen and green! and it still has more to go...

    UPDATE 19.gif

                      THE CITY OF OMARAMA

                                                    -                                                             EST 1980-

Omarama is spreading its wings and a new town has been created on the far side of Lake Benmore. Its called Bromley. It was developed for the height of the farming industry and the area has been ur reachable until the bridge was built (Later in update).

    number7copyse1.jpg

Omarama Bridge was created in cause of the demand for land. As the immediate area around the central city and residential was becoming more crowded the need of Agricultural zone increased drematicly so as the price of land in the area skyrocked the framers became desprate so the council decided to build a bridge connecting this side of the city (Bromley village) with central Omarama.

And so we get this now united valley!

    number10copyiy7.jpg

And the need for jobs tht the farms and commercial just went giving it was time to make the call, Industrial or Jobless Citzens...

    Guess what they went for...

    number9copyhl9.jpg

The amount of jobless plummeted and the city was at peace, peace until there was nowhere to move into that is...

So yet again the council was at work deliberating over what to to so it was goodbye Bovenvale Wines and hello residential!

    number11copyss5.jpg

Some wine bushes were left there to give free berrys to the citzens of Omarama,

The local heath clinics could'nt cope with all the people so they built...

    OMARAMA GENERAL HOSPITAL

(Sorry The Picture is so small34.gif)

    At last the Valley today!

Resize your pictures to 800x600. And also switch UDI-signs off from "my sim"-menu (or whatever it is called). Otherwise this is an average start. No breathtaking photos.
