I posted this back at simpegasus.com, but nobody there knew how to do something like this. They said that those who could pull off something like this were at ST or SC4D, so I'm trying it here before SC4D.

I saw an image on wikipedia of the Queensboro Bridge, and it was like nothing I've ever seen, and now I'm a bit jealous of not having anything closely related to it.

I demolished the old cavalier truss bridge in Canceltrans because it lacked a gothic styled look to it. I was happy the first few days after constructing the medium suspension bridges because they had the appropriate look on the towers and road deck, but there wasn't enough steel truss work that I could see in it. All of the game-default truss bridges have colors that are too bright, they don't have the characteristics of a suspension bridge, and they heavily lack central towers. The suspension bridges seem to be a lot better, but what I'm looking for is a type of bridge that incorporates thousands of steel trusses and latticework into a suspension bridge concept, like that of the Queensboro Bridge. I see how this could be a difficult task as there would have to be different sections of the bridge like the default Maxis bridges (some trusses are four tiles, others six), but from what I saw in Fukuda's amazing Akashi Kaikyo bridge (ST), there were two main pieces at each end that were always the same unless the bridge span was too short, and in between those two pieces, there was the main suspension which varied in length according to the length of the area the bridge would be spanning. If this concept could be used in the two main towers and the main varying span being level truss sections located near the very middle of the bridge (acting as filler pieces), then I think this project could be done. But this is just from what I think. I don't have any of the tools to make or edit any lots, let alone bridges. Does anyone know if this is possible using whatever tools are available to SC4 B.A.T.ers or modders?

I've never considered the Queensboro, but I've always wanted to model the Manhattan Bridge.
