Hi! I want to use the reader (I've downloaded it recenlty) to add custom queries to my BATs (and other things I want to learn to do). But I'm having a problem. I get this message:

    28522416xk9.jpg

I have downloaded the properties.xml file and in the options, I have 'told' the program where it is:

    65929856ra6.jpg

I thought that maybe I was using the wong file, so I told it to use 'tropod_properties.xml' but it doesn't work either. I always get the message and I know that, unless I can get it to dissapear, my reader won't work completely.

    Thanks in advance

You can try to place the file where the Reader executable files are installed, and change the cofiguration accordingly. Just a suggestion. I have it this way, and works fine so far.

That's wher I placed it... Maybe I've managed to download the wrong file? Is it a .zip that contains three files ('properties.xml', 'properties.xsd' and 'properties.xslt')?

The properties.xml file you have is the correct one (made by DarkMatter), and you need to reference it in the list on the right-hand side of the "Option" panel (XML Properties files).

The message shown under the "Fill the list" button will always be like that, regardless of whether you have the Properties.xml file in use or not. 3.gif

It is easy to check if you have set up the Properties.xml file correctly. Open any .SC4Lot file or .SC4Desc file in Reader, click on any Exemplar File in the left pane and see what appears in the right pane. If you see a long list of Unknowns, then you still have something missing, but if you see a list of differently named properties, then you have it as it should be 2.gif
