lights at night

all the bat files ive downloaded from here do not light up at night?
why?
am i missing a file? is there something i need to download?

This depends on your update level.  To run BATs at all you should be at 1..x.638.0 build, to run nightlights you need to patch up to 1.x.640.0.

You can check your build level by looking at the properties of the simcity4.exe file on the version tab.

The updates are available only from the Simcity.com site.

funny.. mine is 1.1.610.0 and I can run with BAT's.. but not night light...

You also have all ths stuff missing from Update 1 and the BAT update.  I am surprised you don't have a lot of problems.

I've been playing SC4 for years and have never gotten night lighting to work. I basically just gave up with it. Only a good 30% of my city's areas light up at night, and I've followed the instructions...
