Announcing my very first cj. This cj will be about a region on the United States and Canada Border. This cj is mainly a rural with lots of farms and small towns. I am using the Olympic terrain mod, the MTP mod by pegasus, and the NAM with the RHW and the usual cheat codes. Thank you for visiting Region of Baker.

Hey, that border is nice! It has a nice feeling, mate! And it is nice to jave the Canada-USA border in a city tile! I made Buffalo (NY) and I had to make the border in niagara Falls and to Amtherst! It was nice, but I have never seen before a rural border in a CJ!! Nice work, mate!

And I can't wait to see Jacky's and my surprise! I am impatient! And Jacky too, I supose!

Great creation of a border crossing!

Say, will this region feature Mt. Baker, Washington? I ask because your choice of the name "Baker" along with the Olympic Terrain Mod gives a very Pacific Northwest feel. That would be awesome as I drive by Mt. Baker every day4.gif

Welcome back to Baker.  I will be calling the region Baker for short from now on

    Replies:

asturianu= thanks alot my friend. I planned the crossing on one tile so it can be viewed as one. I used toll booths for the customs buildings. A rural border crossing in a cj has never been seen in a cj is wrong. You have seen it here in baker. Also, I am in support for your city in Sask. to become a cj.

homeandaway= Yes, that picturewas an attachment in the sig, but I replaced it.

AIX= thanks. The region is based in North Dakota and Manitoba. I might put a " Mt. Baker" in in honor of me since my real last name is Baker. thanks for the inspiration man.

jacqulina= thanks for stopping by my friend. I tried that web site that you suggested and it works. I promise that you will like the suprise, both of you and asturianu.

Mike the Mayor= thanks alot for your comment. More will come on sunday.

granto93=thanks alot. The real update is on sunday.

This is a shot of the International Border Crossing in the International Peace Park east of the major crossing. the light poles are where the border is ( the 49th degrees North lat. ) the park is free and you do't need to rport to customs unless you travel on the road and not visiting the park. The fee for crossing is as follows= $5.00 Can southbound and $3.50 US northbound and the park is free to visitors. also crossing the border, you will nees a valid passport to cross.internationalpeaceparkctk7.jpg

Asturianu's home and work ( City Hall as the mayor's assistant ) in Baker, North Dakota USA

                              REPLIES

Schulmanator= Thank you very much. I was inspired by the border crossing Washington State called the Peace Arch near Blaine, Washington

Amerikaner=  Thank you very much. I too can't wait to see it grow. The region is standard size of 1025x1025, but it does seem huge.

luker91= It is not illegal to cross in the park, but outside of the park it is illegal. The light poles are only to define the border, but the security is real tight after the 9/11/2001 attacks.

    daniel01= Thank you very much.

asturianu= Thank you very much my friend. The farms are BSC seasonal farms and the crop is corn. I am glad you think this cj rocks.

Mike the Mayor= Thank you very much. I am glad you like the border crossing. More to come tomorrow.

For Part Two of the update, I will be showing more pictures of the border crossings and the American side of the International Peace Park.

Part Two of the update from yesterday ( sunday )=

top to bottom: night pic of the border looking from North Baker; night pic of the border looking south towards the USA; night pic of border looking towards North Baker; night pic of the border looking north towards Canada; evening/dawn pic of the previous picture; self explainatory; IPP American side with the IPP Regional Airport; Village of Peace Park, North Dakota just south of IPP south entrance.  In picture number 5, they redid the border crossing and took down the camera. It looks simular to the crossing at IPP with the lamp posts.
