Connecting GLR to neighboring cities

I like to use elevated rail in the downtown and inner city then go to ground level using GLR (ground light rail) in the outer residential and suburban areas.  But the GLR puzzle pieces do not seem to have the ability to make a connection to neighboring cities.  Any ideas or workarounds?

The only way you can connect GLR to neighboring cities is to use the GLR to El-Rail transition, and then connect with El-Rail.

Alternatively, you can download NDEX's GLR-to-Subway transition, and connect via subway.

I'm using the new NAM (Jan 07) and I can't get this to work.

My guess is you have it in the wrong directory. It MUST be in the NAM directory because it has to load after the intersection ordering RUL file so it overrides it.
