you should really consider integrating a rail,el,subway system with
your current bus system and take your time to plan something really
unique and maybe one day.....maybe...this might be a good CJ

Nah, it aint - look - he has health & education & landmarks in there... A tiny city develops a little better with those... But how are you funding all these utilities? I agree with jacqulina, you are rushing urself.  You'll get yourself in debt pretty fast and without cheating you'll have to build those nasty rewards that give you money at the expence of the happiness of your city. 32.gif

     Sept. 23, 0056                         Downtown News

Been a long time, says the mayor, of Downtown, since we had houses and the bay is starting to over crowd, We built a small mini citie called East Bell, thats next to Downtown. But instead of houses we have got skyscapers, Ive talked to the sims who made this develoment. Since all those skyscapers, weve started to plan out small house area's for future develoment. Little suburbs, will start to make the region shine!1.gif

East bell is a mini citie, since Downtown ran out of room. Some buildings are abandon but the goverment will take care of that later.

The region island is huge with skyscaper's. Bout 40 years ago more people were thinking about farms but now skyscaper's, people started to think now bout suburbs and lower density.

I've never had a hard time coming up with a comment, but your city stumps me....

All I can say is the area seems to have a lack of wealthy sims because most of your skyscrapers have middle class where rich should be....

IMO, the first 6 or 7 comments (with the notable exception of KOSC 19.gif) on this CJ were overly-harsh 30.gif. I doubt an intention to brag about one's skills were there when he made this CJ; perhaps it was merely an oversight or an overly ambitious title, but not bad enough to warrant such snide comments and low-key flaming.

    That aside...18.gif

This CJ looks really promising at the moment. Just be sure (like everyone else has said) to put in some roads 18.gif. Take note of the numerous comments about a transit system too; it's really important once your city is well-established.

Keep up the good work and keep at this CJ. 19.gif

Yes it looks nice but ThatMonkeySim and Cjah are correct! Streets in downtown! Definitely upgrade to roads. Also don't let me remind you to fully fund your educaction and health systems, for those get you the high wealth!!!

Keep going, at a slow pace!

I was hoping for the best CJ, but alas I was mislead.  It's a good CJ, not great, yet.  I think some careful planning and maybe a backstory will help. 1.gif

Early in the 19 century, downtown was a small village of 4,000 Today its a gigantic city of 50,000 sims & 170,000 commerce. As the town grows more & more people try to fit into that city. Commercial skyscapers R booming. The first one to find the place was Robert Y. Carrot, a 31 year old man that loved skyscapers & boats, so he got a boat and discovered The Great Plains. On the 1st page were the early life, now Tons Island, is now COMPLETELY filled with commerce, making it possible for more to build.

How so?? 42.gif If you're referring to the traffic congesion, traffic actually helps commercial demand and increases commercial desirability though really high levels are bad due to the pollution that goes along with it. 19.gif

Besides, if it's traffic you're worrying about, careful mass transit placement and planning beforehand can solve any traffic problems for years to come. 18.gif

Well, people did not want to live in skyscapers anymore so they started a town near Tons Island East Hieghts. Here are the pictures.

The Highway(below) leads to a very small town called Green Hieghts (above).

Yes, it looks like it is getting better.  I would suggest in the first pic of this last update to perhaps connect the end of the highway to an avenue somehow and connect that to the roads nearby.  I would give it a more complete look.

Remember, keep having fun with it.
