Upload not showing on stex

So, I tried to upload a file to the STEX, and it worked fine (showed the upload log and told me to wait 10 mins before it appears on STEX).

After about 90 mins, it still didn't show so  I attempted to upload it again...it informed me a file of the same name existed already, so I assumed the STEX was just being slow (I know, I know, it's never happened before, but let's not rule it out as an impossiblity )

So, that was about 3 hours ago and it's still not up.  Is there a reason for this?

What should I be doing?

You should remember that this is a very large international board and that your upload has to be vetted by a STEX moderator.  Most of the moderators for the STEX are in North America and tend to be asleep in the dead of night.

Ok, so that explains the 3 hours leading up to my first post in the thread....

what about the last 24?

If I search my own name, it shows up, but the pics don't show and it can't be downloaded.

Granted, nothing else has shown up on the STEX since then, so it might be a server issue or the like.

@N_O_Body: I don't think the STEX uploads are checked by moderators...but I don't know since I don't know how the whole STEX process works now.

I do know that STEX uploads are usually queued and then uploaded...not sure weather it holds until a certain number of uploads or a specific time or both. And if the files are checked by a moderator, then it'll add to the upload time.

The upload seems to be there now, so it looks like the problem has been fixed. There is a publishing queue which normally means you need to wait at least 20 minutes before your upload appears on the STEX, however it could possibly take longer sometimes. But I think this time something actually got a bit stuck. Looks like its all ok now though.

I've still got the same problem with my upload from yesterday.... more than 24 hours ago.

David, please PM Sam directly.  He is a STEX moderator.
