SC4 Terraformer

[BattleField-2142 9]

I have the Direct X problem. It states this as a bug but gives no explanation of how to fix it. I have no programs running except simtropolis, and some folders for SC4 ( which need to be open ) What do you think I should do?

Known bugs

• Changing desktop resolution, or bitdepth while SC4Terraformer is running will crash it
• Some programs may use DirectX exclusively, preventing SC4Terraformer to runquote>

Uhh, I can't remember.. its the newest one from microsoft.com. Someone in live chat told me to make sure I had DirectX 9.0c. ( From memory which may be wrong, and I do have that. )

Check your version by going to the run box.  Enter dxdiag and press enter.  The full DirectX diagnostic will come up.  While you are at it check for errors.

Yes, it is DirectX 9.0c. But now, how do I check for errors?

I actually had this problem as well.

what you need to do is download direcx 9.0c from the non-microsoft site listed in the Terraformer readme.

DXDIAG is the directX diagnostic.  If you looked beyond the front page, you should have found all kinds of interesting stuff.  However, if you are not much of a computer operating system guru, a lot of it won't mean much.  There are some tests in there that you can run, however.
