Pet owner's fears deepened as the SimNation Agriculture Commissioner announced that a substance known as 'aminopterin', which is commonly found in rat poison in some countries, has been found in pet foods blamed for the deaths of 15 cats and one dog.

Although the pet deaths led to a recall of 60 million cans and pouches of "cuts and gravy" style

dog and cat food produced by Menu Foods and sold throughout SimNation under 95 different brand names, Kitty Kibble Brand is NOT one of them.

Mr. Enceedee, Chairman and Founder of Kitty Kibble Brands, stated today in a press conference: "We are not aware of any pet illness or deaths associated with food from Kitty Kibble Brands and our cat foods have tested negative for any contamination. Also, Animal feeding tests using AAFCO procedures substantiate that Kitty Kibble Brand Cat Food provides complete and balanced nutrition for the growth and maintenance of kittens and cats."

When pressed for comment about the rumors of a link between the Kitty Kibble 'secret ingredient' and the large orders of white lab mice placed with SimGoober's Rodent Emporium by Kitty Kibble Brands, Enceedee replied, "There is no connection and the rumors are totally unfounded. Next question?"  Mr. SimGoober could not be reached for comment.

In other news, Mr. Enceedee announced that Kitty Kibble Brands stock shares has split 2 for 1 as news of the contaminate-free cat food sent shoppers on a buying spree for Kitty Kibble Brands cat food. "This is great news for our shareholders," said Enceedee, "we can hardly keep up with the franchise applications alone!"
