Why is this website so slow.  Exspecially the downloads seciton.  It takes forever to load something and I have a dsl conection.

Its extremely fast for me, just like any other site. I have Cable Broadband. Check your browsers settings and such for problems. Maybe a program on your comp is slowing it down.

This site has 160.109 registered users. Sometimes a lot of them log on at once, causing the site to slow down. Just be patient and try again after 15 minutes.

This site's speed varies. Sometimes it works amazingly, sometimes I feel like I have a dial-up connection. The amount of simultaneous users certainly has something to do with it... just be patient and if necessary, try again later. 4.gif

I don't think the crashes are on our server.  What ISP are you using?  Restarting your browser is a symptom of something wrong on your machine.
