Sim city 4 crashing randomly

I looked around but couldn't find anything related to what i have well the problem is Simcity just randomly crashes to the Desktop I positive it's not a plugin and i am just stuck

Hi,

     Your specs are strange.  Why is your memory not a multiple of 256?  Do you really have 1GB with some removed for a graphics processor?  What graphics processor do you have?

What is the setting for your Virtual Memory?d

If you crash randomly, save often.

How big is your plugin list?

I seem to be having the same problem. I did the same thing you did, look around for help, start a thread for help, but no one was able to help me or anyone else that had the problem. I still experience the problem, nothing I did to fix it, fixed it, but I did get something that helped. It didn't help completely, but it's better than nothing. I got the datpacker for my plugins. To get the datpacker, go to www.sc4devotion.com and download it on LEX. There seem to be so many ppl having this problem, that's gotta be SC4 and all of its bugs. I really hope EA/Maxis will keep these kind of bugs out of SC5. Hopefully SC5 will be bug free, and I won't have to worry about crashes anymore.
