    Hi everybody,

I have an unemployment problem in most of my cities. Regardless of the job opportunities, I get a lot of unemployment. I KNOW there are jobs available in all categories (C and I) but for some reason the problem remains. In all my cities C+I is superior to R. I can build a city with 1000 inhabitants and fill the rest of the map with commercial buildings as the demand for them almost never dies, especially the CS$ and CS$$. It is really frustrating, my cities always reach a limit of approx 100.000. The education, health and other needs are met, I have tried many different city plannings (lots of I, or lots of C or both), nothing seems to satisfy my sims.

I have read N_O_Body's thread on the plugin mania, he made me realized that I was probably a plugin boulimic. I guess that my problem may come from one of the many plugins I have added to the game... but which one? Also, as you can imagine I am reluctant to remove them, I am afraid to crash my game.

    Somebody have an advise?

    Thanks!

PS: I know that you will advise me to make sur that the job opportunities meet the social composition of my population,  well it does. I know that there is a problem with my game because it didn't use to be like that (at least for a year).

Another weird thing, when I click on some commercial buildings to see where their workers come from, sometimes it doesn't show anything (even if it says that there are workers in the buildings), sometimes the traffic arrows lead to another commercial building!

You need to remove all your plugins to another folder.  Then put back half of them and see if the problem is still there.  You have to ignore prop errors and brown paper packages during testing.

If everything is OK now, put back half of the remainder, and test again keeping track of which part you put in, etc.  This technique is called a binary search, and you keep halving until you get a hit.

In case you get the problem on the first try, put only half of the first half in and try again, etc.

If you have 1000 plugins, you only need about 8 trys to locate your problem.
