    Mystery Solved!!

I started realizing that since I have now have about a dozen cities im playing in region mode, and my game only crashes in ONE city.  I began to look closer into that city.

Everytime the game crashed, it was preceded by graphical pixelation, odd shapes and textures, mostly brownish in color, spattering all over the screen.  But their triangle/jagged edges seemed to point to one spot in the city.  Like the end of  a lightening bolt touching ground, the point was clearly the FARM.

Now I have 6 farms around the edges of the northern hemisphere of this city.   So I began to experiment.   I demolished each farm, one at a time, and played for a while to see what happened.  I found a specific instance that crashed it every time..... upgrading a street to a road while in turtle mode (along side the farms).  (But keep in mind that no specific action was needed to crash with this farm in the game.... just browsing the city was enough to crash.)

The last farm tested DID the trick!  I don't know the name, but this is the farm with the animals (default SimCity Farm).  [i have no plugins or mods.]

I cannot tell if it was when the animals moved, disappeared, or some other element of that farm, but once just that block (the large animal farm tile) was destroyed with one click of the demolish button, no more problems.  Clear sailing for the game.  Interesting.

I'll be more careful with farms in the future.  Something about my computer , bios settings, graphics card, memory, game graphics settings, or at least this city's compounded elements, will not be stable with that specific farm.  The real test would be to grow it again, but you all know how hard it is to grow a farm in an existing city, especially one specific farm!  So, im going to just have to end it here, and move on with this bit of insight.

Maybe this will help someone else.  Maybe not.

The farm will not be responsable for the crash, it is most likely an error that can be remedied via a reinstall. Or perhaps you are having a graphics issue, the particular city may be too demanding on your system. Check your video settings to the games requirements 4.gif

Another reason could be that the city is corrupt, it happens, it sucks but it happens.
