Hello, and welcome to my first try at a cj, Joshua City! I hope you enjoy it, and feedback and suggestions are welcome and encouraged. Also, if there are any BATers out there who want their work to be seen just send me a link to your work and ill download it and put it in my city depending on when and where it is appropriate to put it. So without further ado, I give you Joshua City County!
joshuacitycounty1164176hd1.pngThis is the northwest of the county,

Southwest,

Southeast,

Northeast.

Below we see the first plot where Joshua city proper will be placed.
 joshuacitycounty1164176vb2.png

Before Joshua City County was called so, it was Canadian territory and was known as Aurupa valley. After the Joshuains took over Canada the Supreme High Chancellor Joshua I named it after himself and took it for his own. The date Aurupa valley fell to the Joshuains was 11/23/2015.
This is the place the main city was founded.

This is the original first part of the town.

This is the neighboring city of Welton, which holds all the polluting industry to keep it away from the people.

Soon the mayor built his own house and the railway to Welton was completed.
 joshuacityjan1011164178au9.png

Farms and another residential neighborhood soon followed.
 joshuacityaug1011164499qx0.png
Added some parks to make the people happy.
 joshuacityfeb5021164499eg3.png

Soon the farms grew further out and the neighborhoods too. as well as a small shopping district.
joshuacitynov1802116449ot5.png
Fire dep. And clinic.
 joshuacityjan7031164500mn1.png
As well as police.
 joshuacityjan7031164500gp0.png

The eastern end of town, further out from the main part. This is at ’09, and the town is having a few unemployment problems.
 joshuacityfeb2091164502eh1.png
At this point we have about 8,000-9,000 peeps.

That’s all for now stay tuned for the update where the Joshuains take over and Joshua I turns it from a small farming community into the largest and most populated urban area in the known world.

Great start. Your pics look euphoric. not use to seeing them in an almost str8 down angle. Good work though. will keep an eye open.

I'm not sure if you plan on staying rural or going big. There's a lot of great farm & small town BATs that are on the STEX. What I can suggest is that if you want to save some money early on, search the STEX for rural power plants. They're cheap, and they'll power your small towns just fine until you need something bigger and more expensive.

Good luck! I'll keep my eyes out for more.

I work for the US Army. I go places, visit mean people, and kill them.

Winston Churchill is generall credited for saying something to the effect of: "People sleep soundly in their beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". That about sums up my life, besides the "rough men" part.

This is the eastern end of town more developed now. As the Joshuains took over the valley and lace w:st="on">lacename w:st="on">Joshua3.giflacename> lacename w:st="on">City3.giflacename>3.giflace> was dubbed, Joshua I set up a goal of expanding outward before upward and since food for the army was short in supply farms were the way to go at the time.

    > joshuacityjan1215116458jc8.png3.gif>

The first county high school. Joshua I also believed education leading the way to better tech for the army was important.

    > 3.gif>

The city quickly grew outward as more farms were needed to feed the hungry army and the city’s populace.

    > 3.gif>

    >joshuacityjul1731116460nq4.png 3.gif>

After the whole city limits were covered in farms, the residential areas were started to be pressured to build up to preserve farm space.

Here are pictures of the entire city.

    > 3.gif>

As the main city grew, demands for more farms still rose which led to the founding of Goldenplain, seen below.

With a state fair and a mayors statue, too!

    > goldenplainoct180311646nl2.png3.gif>

After Goldenplain filled with farms and houses, Jenksville was founded as well for more farms for the war effort.

2 more shots of Welton, Which is growing fast and now holds the entire county’s garbage.

Finally, education reached the level of hi tech industry, which was given its own city away from the pollution of Welton, called Technetia.

now for answers to the fan mail-

    Superchad- Thank you

Kingtitan- Thanks, i dont know how they got like that but im kinda a beginner with imageshack so it might just be me.

Dr. Gonzo-Thank you updates will be aplenty.

Meinhosen- Im planning on the central cities to get very large, and for surrounding suburbs and then farmlands surrounding the suburbs. like a real city. ill look for some rural power plants for my farming villages, and thanx.

by the way sory for the blurry pics imageshack made me make them really small to upload them and when i re expanded them they got blurry thats also while theyre smaller.

Stay tuned for the next update, well see just how big a region can get!

Just click the "Do not parse emoticons" box when you edit the message and it should be fixed. Looks like a nice rural setting so far.
